I feel guilty, but I need my space (no, not MySpace)

So, Jim is taking a long time leaving the house this morning. There’s some major foot dragging happening. He’s already missed a couple buses on the schedule. Mondays, especially cold, dreary, gray ones, can be supertough to find motivation. I adore the guy and I always want to see more of him. However…because our home becomes my office as soon as he steps out of the house, sometime I feel eager for him to go. I feel so guilty saying that! Especially since I’m usually craving more together-time with him. But I have to admit it: sometimes I just need the space to myself. When the door shuts behind him in the morning, my work day is launched.

Ok. He just kissed me goodbye and left for the office. Now I miss him and the clock has started ticking down for his return home. I can be a real psycho.

Pulling it together now!

We have a winner of our Marriage, and Other Acts of Charity book giveaway…it’s Ms. Oonie! Congrats. We hope you enjoy the read. Let us know what you think of Kate Braestrup. We’re fans. If you didn’t win, we highly recommend checking out the memoir.

Also, some fun news. Tomorrow, Cathleen and I will be on The Stacey Stern Show. I’ll be talking about my Living Oprah project and book and then we’ll be talking all about Ready, Set…Wife! Click here for some information about where you can listen in at 3pm Eastern/2pm Central.

We have some exciting news we’ll announce later this week…and we’re hoping that we might get to meet some of you RSW readers in the Boston in person in March. Hope that piques your interest.

That’s about it. Hope you can tune in tomorrow…or listen on Stacey Stern’s podcast after the fact. I need to kick some butt and take names today. To everyone else who had to hit the ground running on Monday morning, best of luck!
